We took
a survey and discovered a few distinctions between people and
their political views/affiliations... We found that the Democrats
enjoy a good whipping of bureaucracy, in order to keep a status-quo
government. Republicans, on the other hand, just enjoy a good
whipping. Dems see a glass as have theirs, while Reps see it
all theirs. Dems were satisfied with a President that had little,
or no morals at all, Reps were smarter about not getting caught.
Dems would have us subsidized to the point of earning sky miles
every time we use the restrooms. Reps would initiate a one-ply
solution to wipe up the deficit. Most Dems oppose same sex marriages,
most Reps want to watch. Dems want to impose increased taxes
upon the rich, while Reps want the rich to take more taxis, environmentally
speaking, that is. Dems still see our rate of unemployment as
high, Reps see many Oprah-viewing Dems as unemployable. Celebrity
Dems ride two-headed horses, Reps prefer a carriage, with a mini-bar.
Many Dems shop at Wal-Mart on a weekly basis, while Reps own
most of the controlling shares. Most Democrats don't know they
are Dems, and secretly wish they were Republicans, without the
cost. Most Republicans would pay any cost to see the Dems quit
whining about things the don't intend to fix themselves.n |

Murder In The Office ... I will never forget
the tragic morning of August 24th. I can still feel the anguish
and unsettling in my stomach with just the mention of that date.
I arrived at the office around 8:00 o'clock, as I usually do,
only to be surrounded by police vehicles and detectives swarming
the building. I approached the front entrance and asked the two
officers guarding the door what had happened. They said there
was an incident, and that no one was allowed in the building....$19.95 |

" Bridge Uncrossed
", Whether in his prose, poetry or musical lyrics, Mr.
Bertucci exhibits a flair for creating a richly detailed and
colorful visual experience for his audiences and readers. The
setting for his latest work, Bridge Uncrossed, is the unassuming
small town of Higgins Falls. The myth, or bizarre occurrences,
started back in 1961 during a hot summer's day. The Hemingways,
a family of four from Chicago, were on vacation and decided to
take a detour to view the Falls, and taste some of the famous
jerky....$21.95 |

CLEVELAND-
Waterstreet Productions MY SOUL TO TAKE 2. Ok I know what you
are all thinking. What the **** is going on with the Mancuso,
star of TV, screen and the smoothie blender and now this soon
to be released horror flick. Before you all decide to jump ship
on Nick, let me remind you that this artist and I say that with
the utmost respect, can make even a slinky look like a million-dollar
toy. This film is written and directed by Spencer Jay Kim and
if you were to ask what else he's done...forget about it. But
for the curious and dedicated film goer, I had a chance to check
him out on the cyber bible of IMDB and I see there are a couple
of other movies listed. There's Dreaming on Christmas 2005, I
missed this one and then there's Bet Your Life 2004, gee I missed
this one as well. Ok let's not nit-pic. The truth is I have never
heard of this potential Speilberg, but this is the sequel from
the direct to video of the same title. Mr. Mancuso plays Father
Adam, a determined priest trying to save a few souls while dealing
with the demonic mysteries of life. Lord knows we all need our
souls saved. Lots of brim and fire and the occasional fried body
would categorize this as a horror film. I'm inclined to think
it's a dark comedy....Not. Nick Mancuso plays this role with
intense dedication and even the $3.27 budget for the film doesn't
distract the actor from his powerful performance as the uber
creepy priest. Aside from John Savage, who also has an impressive
list of past film and TV credits to his name, the cast is mostly
unknowns. However, the performances overall are quite good. Check

Long Beach CA - PEGGY CASERTA - SURVIVING JANIS JOPLIN
- A woman like no other, Peggy's fast-paced stories burn a hole
through the fabric of time, allowing me a quick vision of the
whirlwind of changes occurring in San Francisco during the sixties.
Her experimental wisdom, developed over the years, came across
as vividly honest. Although I was born at least a generation
too late, I've always held a certain affinity for the ideals
which sprung forth from the transitional period we often associate
with typical images like bare feet, hitchhiking, and flowers
in the hair, or what is commonly referred to as "hippie-love-sh*t".
She arrived on the scene before the scent of revolution was even
in the air. Growing up in New Orleans, she traveled to |New York
for a time, and collected many sky-miles as a stewardess before
settling in the Bay area. Attending college only lasted long
enough to launch her into a new state of awareness, where she
found an entrepreneurial finesse that paid off well. Her curious,
little boutique was located at 1510 Haight Street and was esoterically
named Mnasidika. This treasure trove was a cash cow that will
forever mark the map. Historical moments were unfolding as Bill
Graham started a musical movement that caught like wildfire.
Music was becoming fashionable and rock n roll a part of the
mainstream as San Francisco was a prime spot for such performers
as Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Crosby,Stills and
Nash, Santana and many more. Bands on the scene started to
create a buzz for themselves and everyone wanted MORE. It was
during this stir of America's melting pot, when civil rights
and the topic of equality were at the forefront, freedom of expression
through speech or whatever means of protest to get the point
across. But let's not forget what got the youth started on this
trip--they were blowing their minds on LSD, opening doors, dissolving
barriers, eating up the world as if it were a giant peach, giving
up all sense of reality to understand "All You Need Is Love."
Thus dawned on us the Age of Aquarius, and as the flower children
flocked to San Fran, Peggy was sitting pretty with the only hip-store
on the block carrying those items that distinguished the psychedelics
from the squares. Being off-beat and eccentric was trendy and
kids were seeking to stand out from the crowd, taking
full advantage of thestylistc choices offered at Mnasidika (aptly
named after one of the first lesbians in Greek - mythology. Jimi
Hendrix walked in looking to get a gig and ended up with his
infamous image, the vest and adfro now accented by bellbottoms,
which could only be bought exclusively at the little Haight Street
boutique. She even sold Levi-Strauss on the idea of changing their
production lines to manufacture the new design, but unfortunately
didn't reap any royalties or licensingf ees or she'd be a billionaire.
Living across the street from Janis Joplin (before she made a
nme for herself) she would open the window and bellow her famous
phrase. "Hi-ya Honey". as seen in commercials of Southern
Comfort. Peggy recollected not paying her much attention until
after she heard the girl's wailing and powerful voice. After
complimenting her raw talent, Janis claimed emphatically. "you're
my first fan." They eventually became lovers whose romantic
moments were interspersed over the years, but held strong during
Woodstock when Peggy was the only non-musician to experience
flying into the massive, dirty event on a helicopter, first class.
It was the only way she would attend, and Janis just had to have
her moral supporter by her side for one of the largest exposures
for musical artists in history. Sometime after Joplin left her
back-up-band, Big Brother and The Holding Company. urged
by her manger Albert Grossman to pursue a solo career, she hooked
up with Kris Kristofferson, who wrote one of her most memorable
hits, "Me and Bobby McGee," featured on her final album,
Pearl. The tragic day, when she was found dead in her
cheap hotel room, left a gigantic hole in not only Peggy's heart,
but that of the nation. Our first ever, female rock n roll superstar
bit the dust, way to young. It took an extended period of time
to recover from such a heavy blow, but over the years Peggy has
been pursued by many interviewers to be a consultant on the details
of Janis Joplin's life. She remains involved in several types
of businesses, and persists in spite of the wreckage, surviving
an era we could all forget, if it weren't for the drastic social
changes spurred by people opening their minds. By Kelly Book

MY INTERVIEW WITH JESUS CHRIST |

THE SHOES
- It was the perfect life for the Loftons, as they planned their
yearly trip to Europe to meet up with friends and rendezvous
for 15 days along the French and Italian Riviera. They had become
accustomed to dining with royalty and prominent figures all around
the globe. Life was more than fulfilling and business was at
its peak. Lofton was in Algiers closing one of the company's
biggest real estate deals, when he received a call from his office
explaining that the World Trade Center had been hit by a plane.
At first he couldn't quite understand what his secretary, Anne
Lucas, was trying to say, but as he turned to watch a TV set
at the end of the hotel bar he could see a 757 plowing into the
twin-towers. The other gentlemen at the meeting watched in horror
as well. Jack cut the meeting short and told the others they
would continue tomorrow. In a frenzy he called home to his wife.
